Vemdalsskalet – Jaktstugan – Fallmoran

The destination for the hike is Fallmoran, an ancient shieling not any longer in use but still with the old summer farm buildings in place. The hike starts at the trail centre at Vemdalsskalet. Walk Karins väg at the entrance to the parking area. Follow the signposts and cross-marks towards Jaktstugan, which you will reach after less than 2 km. In case you prefer a shorter hike, take the Vesselstigen path back to Vemdalsskalet. The trail to Fallmoran continues eastbound. Down in the valley, a bridge will take you across the River Röjan. Follow the directions to Fallmoran. The cabin is a little bit to the east of the farm buildings and a path leads down to the attractive waterfalls Fallmorafallen. To return, follow the summer path towards the Ripfjället area. The trail runs along the River Röjan, turn off onto the summer path and Karl XI’s Väg to Vemdalsskalet.
